Azimio MPs Storms Into CBD

Azimio One Kenya lawmakers from Kisumu County have already responded to Raila Odinga’s call for protests.

Led by Kisumu Central MP Joshua Oron and a section of MCAs, they lead residents in anti-government protests at Manyatta and Nyalenda Town.

According to video shared by Citizen FM, the leaders organized a march as they chanted anti-government songs.

At the time of publication, their protests had not been dispersed by police.

In Mombasa, police blocked access to Mombasa CBD as protestors mount pressure on the security forces. The protestors barricaded Nyali Bridge and blocked entry from Likoni Mainland by erecting barriers at Aga Khan Centre.

Raila Odinga and other Azimio principals are yet to makes an appearance as details whereabouts remains unclear.

In parts of Nairobi, Kisii, Homa Bay and Mombasa, Azimio One Kenya protesters kicked off protests halting businesses and smooth movement of matatus.

In Kisii, movement was paralyzed for sometimes. Vehicles were forced to reverse and change routes after rowdy youths used stones to barricades the roads leading to town.
