Ruto to Build Another State House?

Kenyans on X have come up with a hilarious suggestion for President William Ruto amid the ongoing renovation of State House Nairobi.

They have asked him to build a new State House and hand over the current one to opposition leader Raila Odinga as a gesture of goodwill.

This comes after sources from State House revealed that the area is currently under restricted access due to a two-month-long refurbishment project.

The renovation, which will cost taxpayers KSh 795,000,000, is aimed at improving the security and comfort of the presidential residence.

However, some Kenyans have questioned the need for such an expensive makeover, especially when compared to Tanzania’s new State House, which was built from scratch at a cost of only KSh 175,000,000.

They have also wondered how Ruto will run the country from different state lodges in Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Kakamega and Kisumu, among other places, during the renovation period.

One netizen, who goes by the name of @Kuwamocho, posted a photo of State House Nairobi.

The post, which has since gone viral, attracted hilarious reactions from other users who supported the idea.

Some of them argued that the idea would be great since Raila has been aspiring to become president for a long time and has contested for the top seat five times.
