VIDEO: PRINCIPAL CAUGHT IN BED WITH FORM 4 STUDENT

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) officials in Makueni County have initiated investigations into an incident where a School Principal allegedly raped an 18-year-old student two weeks ago.

Makueni County TSC Director Alex Cheruiyot said that he got wind of the incident on Tuesday and his officers started investigations with a view of taking disciplinary action against the principal, if found guilty.

Cheruiyot termed the incident as unfortunate, from an officer who is supposed to take care of students, who have been put under his custody.

“This is an unfortunate and barbaric incident committed by an individual who has been given custody of students by the public. We will take stern action against the principal if found culpable,” said Cheruiyot while speaking to KNA on Saturday.

The principal allegedly committed the offense on the night of 26-27 March 2022 when he lured the girl from the dormitory to his house, located within the school compound where he raped her before releasing her the following morning to go and sit for her final paper in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.

The teacher was arrested on Friday and is being held at Kilungu Police Station and will be arraigned in court on Monday where he will face rape charges.

The student’s father is the one who reported the incident to the police after his daughter narrated the ordeal she underwent before she sat for her final KCSE paper.
