“Undergoing a minor surgical procedure under Jacob Kengere Ombogo and Dr Patrick Musyoki.
“Thank you our healthcare workers for the dedicated health services offered to our residents,” Kibwana posted on his social media pages.
His friends, followers and other Kenyans wished him a quick recovery. Most of them could not help but notice the stark difference between Governor Kibwana and other local leaders who sought treatment abroad.
According to them, many politicians prefer to travel outside the country for the simplest procedures instead of equipping their hospitals.
“Wishing you a successful procedure and it’s great to see your confidence in your County hospitals,” Mihr Thakar commented.
“Kivutha Kibwana is giving us the confidence to use the Kenyan medical system” William K. Eliphas opined
“Such confidence in improving our health care facilities is all we need. You empowered them, equipped the hospitals therefore you know you can as well seek treatment there. Your simplicity and dedication to your people is what other leaders should emulate,” Njihia Wilfred added.
Kibwana has received praise on several occasions for the great work that he has done to improve the lives of his constituents.
In 2018, he made headlines after unveiling The Ksh135 million Makueni Mother and Child Hospital – a specialist referral facility for maternal and child health services.
