Shocking Reason Why There Was Blackout at JKIA
The Sunday night nationwide blackout that saw the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) experience a massive power loss has left Kenyans talking.
The ministry of transport under the leadership of CS Kipchumba Murkomen has come under an intense attack as people want them to explain why backup generators were not working when the power went out.
Alinur Mohamed, an ODM politician has come out to reveal that the blackout at JKIA was intentional to send a message to Kenyans. Alinur said that the blackout was to intentionally attract criticism from Kenyans against Kenya Power so that they can discourage it’s control under the government.
Powerful individuals want the company privatized and creating a bad image is one way to invite Kenyans to call for it’s privatization. To support his claim, Alinur said that it is not a difficult thing for the government to buy backup generators at the airport but they have not done it.
He then claimed that Murkomen and the KPLC CEO are involved in the scheme to have the power company privatized.
“You must be a fool if you think the blackout at JKIA is an accident. It’s a plan to justify why Kenya Power should be sold to private individuals. You think it’s hard for the government to buy generators for JKIA? Kipchumba Murkomen and KPLC CEO are part of the scheme to fool you,” Alinur revealed.
