PRESIDENT UHURU’S ALLY ABANDONS HIM AT THE HOUR OF NEED
On Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta led a section of Jubilee Party MPs for a National Delegates Convention (NDC) meeting at State House Nairobi.
It is a meeting that was attended by a number of MPs supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s handshake with Raila Odinga.
Though the details of the meeting still remain scanty, insider sources revealed that among other topics of discussions, were the party’s 2022 political direction. It is also reported that the meeting revolved around changing the party’s constitution and approve new seal, symbol and flag of the Jubilee.
But even as a number of Kielweke MPs met at Statehouse, one of the key figures was missing from the function. Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege was a no-show as she spend her time engaging Kisumu and Vihiga county residents.
Taking to her Facebook page, Sabina Chege said she was at Shauri Moyo in Kaloleni Ward, Kisumu county where she engaged residents sensitizing them on voter registration exercises.
Chege, who has since announced her support for Raila’s candidature, took her time to also tour Vihiga county over the same mission of voter registration sensitization.
This is not the first time Chege is spending her time in the Nyanza region. She has been a frequent visitor to Siaya and Homa Bay counties spreading Azimio la Umoja gospel.
