Peter Salasya’s Dowry Ceremony

Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya is a man on a mission.

Recently, the outspoken lawmaker walked into Chapman Courture shop in Kilimani and bought a brand new suit.

This was after President William Ruto hilariously offered to pay his dowry if he got a wife to marry.

“Sasa nimepatiwa hii suti kwa kazi yenye nilifanya juzi. Sasa president, mambo iko sawa, ulinipatia assignment kwamba uko ready kwa mambo a dowry sasa tumeanza safari. Unaona hii suti sasa ndio naenda nayo,” Salasya said.

The MP urged the head of state to live up to his promise of paying his salary.

“Sasa nipatie tu two months bwana excellency na usinilet down najua wewe ni mt wa kusema na kutenda. Nitakujia mahari, kuna mahali nimeona mrembo flani bao napimia pimia yeye lakini nitakuja after two months na yeye. Nitakuja kuchukua hiyo kitu uliniahidi watu wa western sasa wanangojea,” Salasya further said.
