Man Stones Ruto’s Convoy
Justice has been served to President William Ruto after Kisumu Court made a ruling following a daring incident during a political rally in Kondele in 2021.
According to an NTV report during the 1 pm News Bulletin, a Kisumu court has ordered Onyango to pay a fine of Kshs 10,000 and cover the damages caused to the then Deputy President’s convoy.
The incident occurred in 2021 when Onyango, photographed fearlessly orchestrating a group of youths, stoned Ruto’s convoy, aiming to hinder a political rally.
The court’s decision signifies a significant step towards accountability for those involved in acts of violence against political figures. President Ruto, who had faced disruptions during the rally, can now find solace in the legal system’s response.
The penalty imposed on Onyango underscores the seriousness of such actions and sends a message that political events should unfold without the threat of violence.
This verdict reflects the judiciary’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety and security of political leaders during public engagements.
