How to Apply for UK Nurse Jobs: The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has asked jobless nurses in the country to apply for nursing jobs in the United Kingdom under its bilateral agreement. This follows an agreement that was struck between the government and the United Kingdom during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit last month.
The government has set the minimum academic qualification for nurses who wish to express interest as a diploma in nursing or a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

How to Apply for UK Nurse Jobs:
Applicants MUST possess the following qualifications:
a). Be a Kenyan citizen
b). Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
c). Be registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya
d). Obtain a valid Police Clearance Certificate
e). Not be in paid employment either in the public sector or private sector in Kenya.
Interested applicants are required to register through a specialized portal at: https://neaims.go.ke
The deadline for registration has been set at 5pm on Friday, August 27, 2021. Additionally, details of the recruitment and migration process can be accessed from the Ministry of Labour’s website, labour.go.ke or that of the National Employment Authority at nea.go.ke/web/
The agreement allowing Kenyan nurses to migrate and work in the UK was signed in July signed by UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid and Kenya’s Labour Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui. Under the agreement, the unemployed health workers will serve in the UK’s National Health Service before returning to work in Kenya.
