The manufacturers of fake mobile phones imitate all facets of a branded phone’s appearance to make their products appear genuine.

Here are few steps to help you identify whether a phone is fake or original;

There is a code known as IMEI which stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity Number is a unique set of 15 digits used on GSM phones to identify them. It shows whether a phone is fake or original.

1. Dial *#06# on your phone to get the IMEI number.

2. Once you get the IMEI number, go to IMEI.info, input the number the dialog box and press check.

3. The system will automatically provide the phone’s information. If it shows information that is different from the phone’s information, then it is a likely to be a fake brand.
