CS Machogu Involved in a Fight With His PS

A major row has erupted between Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu and his Principal Secretary for TVET Dr Esther Muoria over a senior position in the ministry.

According to the report, the PS had appointed John Kiplagat Tuwei as the acting Director of Technical Education something that was not well received by the minister, in response to this, Machogu has now written a letter explaining of dire consequences of the PS will not revert her earlier appointment.

“In the same vein, disregard of any approvals, directives or instructions granted or given by the duly appointed and posted Director, Technical Education, properly performing his functions as such, will be dealt with appropriately, in line with applicable legal, regulatory and policy framework,” Machogu said in a letter as quoted by the People Daily.

The disagreement further escalated after a meeting late last month when PS Muoria introduced John Kiplagat Tuwei as the Director of the TVET despite the position been confirmed to be held by Dr Opwora who was appointed by the minister of Education.
