JOHN MBADI INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS ROAD ACCIDENT

ODM Chairman and Suba South Member of Parliament John Mbadi is counting himself lucky after he survived a grisly road accident on Monday, July 18.

In a statement, Mbadi confirmed that his personal vehicle was involved in a road crash on his way home after a day of campaigning.

He revealed that he and all other occupants of the vehicle escaped unharmed, further thanking those who expressed concerns over his safety.

“Thanks everyone for your concerns over the accident. While it was grisly, I’m happy to report that I and my crew left the scene unhurt and we thank God almighty,” he stated.

Images seen by Kenyans.co.ke  show the MP’s vehicle was damaged on the left side, with most of the damage done on the co-driver’s door and the area adjacent to the front bumper.

Notably, the side mirror was knocked down and the front tyre was deflated. However, Mbadi did not reveal the cause of the accident.

A number of his supporters took to social media to sympathize with the lawmaker and wish him and his crew a quick recovery.

“I am very sorry Mweshimiwa. I thank the Almighty God who managed you walked out through it safely and our prayers are with you,” Walter Ambonya wrote.

“The people of Homa Bay and South Nyanza at large we still need you, kindly always be safe for us and we will keep you in prayers,” Mike Sylvester stated.

Mbadi joined the Azimio national campaign team after dropping bid for the Homa Bay county gubernatorial seat in favour of Gladys Wanga.

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga stated that he would include Mbadi in his government if he wins the August 9 presidential election.
