FRESH TWIST ON SAKAJA’S CASE.

The National Police Service has dismissed reports claiming that Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has been arrested in the wake of reports that he is linked to a global crimes syndicate.

In a statement issued on Friday, the police service said Sakaja had presented himself to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations on Kiambu Road following reports of his impending arrest but was turned away.

“Contrary to circulating reports alleging that Hon Senator SakaJa has been arrested by police, the public is hereby informed such reporting is not true… He was cordially received by officers and turned away since he had not been summoned. He, therefore, left without any further police action,” said NPS.

Sakaja has been on the spot on claims of alleged forgery of his university degree which he says he obtained from Teams University in Uganda.

Reports emerged on Friday that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations is pursuing Sakaja over alleged links to a global crime syndicate.
