AZIMIO POLITICIAN ARRESTED

Azimio TV has this Sunday, issued a statement after plainclothes police officers arrested an ODM official.

It has been confirmed that ODM Kibra Chairman Samson Ochieng Jera was nabbed by police officers while he was at Nairobi CBD outside 680.

According to the statement by Azimio TV, Jere is currently detained at Gigiri police station.

He has been allegedly accused by police of holding illegal demonstrations and malicious property damages.

“Samson Ochieng Jera was arrested yesterday by plainclothes police officers at Nairobi CBD outside 680 and is currently detained at Gigiri police station,” tweeted Azimio TV

Azimio TV also shared photos showing officers directing Jera to get into their car.

Other sources have said that he was arrested in connection with the PSV bus that was burned down last Tuesday during anti-government protests that Azimio leader Raila Odinga had staged in the capital.

A few days ago, Jero called out CS Moses Kuria for threatening Raila Odinga. He asked the CS to stop issuing death threats to opposition leaders.
