VIDEO: GUNSHOTS IN NAIROBI.
Chaos has erupted in Nairobi CBD after a police officer shot and killed a boda boda rider along Kirinyaga Road.
Angry residents and riders are engaging police in running battles, following the incident that took place around the Simba Coach area.
The police shot the rider after they disagreed over a bribe. The officer, in plain clothes, demanded a bribe, which the rider refused to give him, prompting the fatal shooting.
The rioters have been accompanied by Starehe Member of Parliament, Mp Charles Njagua Alias, commonly known as Jaguar, to riot the brutality of Kamkunji police.
Police are using teargas to disperse the crowds as they manage the situation.
