Sad, What Happened to Student Who Confronted Mandago
A brave student who captured the attention of Kenyans after lecturing Senator Mandago, Governor Jonathan Bii, and his deputy John Barorot over the Finland saga has opened up about the whole ordeal.
In an interview shared on social media, the student who goes by the name Mercy Tarus, explained her anger toward the politicians.
“I was not being rude, I just wanted accountability from the leaders themselves. I wanted to look Barorot in the eye and have him tell us the truth,” she said.
The student who has now resorted to hairdressing and selling porridge after failed scholarship added that she has nothing to live for after her dreams were crushed.
“You can see where I am working, I do hairdressing, and on the weekends I sell porridge and mandazi. This is highway robbery,” she added.
The meeting had been convened between parents, students, and leaders to discuss the way forward for students who had paid for scholarships but were yet to leave the country to go and study in Finland.
