Kenya Kwanza Leaders Split After Blunder Arose During Bipartisan Talks
In a statement given by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on the ongoing bipartisan talks, the Azimio leaders expressed optimism in the talks and even stated that things are headed to the right direction.
Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka who leads the Azimio side in the Bipartisan talks also revealed that both parties have shown good will in the talks so far and that is a sign the talk will yield the intended results.
In his message through his social media pages, Raila Ally Gabriel Oguda has revealed how the talks have caused major divisions within the Kenya Kwanza team. According to Gabriel Oguda, the Deputy President has Allegedly been trying to convince the President to disband the Bipartisan talks but that has not succeeded.
Majority leader Kimani Ichungwa has on the other hand refused to take any instructions from any other person if it’s not from President William Ruto himself.
“Gachagua fails in his bid to convince Ruto to disband the National Dialogue Committee. Kimani Ichungwa warns those against the bipartisan talks saying he only takes instructions from Ruto.” Stated the Azimio blogger Gabriel Oguda.
Gabriel Oguda further revealed of a plan to strengthen the office of the Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi and entrench it within the Law giving him more powers, and even staff from what he already has.
According to Oguda, the talks have caused a power struggle between Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi and DP Rigathi Gachagua and the President seems to be empowering his Prime CS more than his Deputy and that fact that it was the Prime CS who represented the President in Zimbabwe’s Inauguration Ceremony is one of the proofs.
“The Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary to be entrenched in law, with more powers, Gov’t perks and staffing personnel.” Stated Gabriel Oguda.
