ANOTHER TOP POLITICIAN JOINS AZIMIO LA UMOJA. Blow to Ruto
With less than forty days left to the next general elections that are usually held after every five years according to the current Kenyan constitution, politicians are seen running up and down campaigning hunting votes for their various elective political positions as MCAs, MPs, Senators, Women Reps and Governors ahead of the polls.
The top most political seat race on the other hand is not left behind as it appear to be very tough between the former prime minister Honorable Raila Amollo Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance and his counterpart the Kenya Kwanza Alliance flag bearer Honorable William Samoei Ruto.
Both Odinga and Deputy President William Samoei Ruto are believed to be the most popular presidential candidates among the four contenders that have been cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. This is due to the fact that they have made inroads for their political parties in many parts of the country Kenya.
As the number of days left to the next polls are almost elapsing, politicians are still seen shifting from one political wave to another especially from Kenya Kwanza Alliance camp to Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance and vice versa.
This is taking place because it appear like most of these politicians have realized that either Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance or Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance might form the next government that will take over from President Kenyatta’s regime which is set to end in August.
Odinga’s Azimio camp was today again reaped big from Ruto’s UDA party in Trans Nzoia County after receiving leaders who had defected from Ruto’s camp.
According to the Azimio’s gubunetorial candidate in Trans Nzoia County honorable George Natembeya’s official social media account, he received UDA allies into Azimio camp through the DAP-K party which he will use to vie for the gubernatorial seat.
