MOSES KURIA’S BOLD MESSAGE TO UHURU

Ex – Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has now said President Uhuru Kenyatta will one-time regret taking the political stand he has taken as he exits the office as the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya.

Through a statement after Lawyer Githu Muigai Made his Submission at the Supreme Court of Kenya, Kuria accused the outgoing President of sowing division at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

“I really pray that Uhuru Kenyatta is listening to Prof Githu Muigai- I doubt as it’s too early for that. I never thought it would be Uhuru leading the bastardization of institutions and public officers. Kweli some behaviours are contagious,” he said.

“One day my good friend Uhuru will look back at this process and cover his head in shame. Yaani Uhuru has outdone Raila in dividing IEBC Commissioners and stigmatizing the institution?”

During his submission at the Supreme Court of Kenya, Lawyer Githu Muigai began his presentation by refuting claims that the electoral process was completely messed up from the beginning.

In his presentation, he put to task Azimio Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga’s lawyers questioning why they were quick to call the election shambolic, yet some of them are beneficiaries of the same.

Githu said that most of the lawyers presenting their arguments in court are elected Governors, Senators, and MPs fom the Azimio camp.

“As we sit here, there are no less than three governors, four senators, and 4 MPs elected under this election. Are they happy with the results? If they are, how then is that this election is irredeemably flawed? That is the use of hyperbole,” he said.

During their submissions yesterday, the lawyer had argued that the electoral process was completely flawed and that everything that could go wrong went wrong leading to the current case.

The Raila lawyers painted a picture of a commission that was not in a capacity to hold a credible election hence the need to nullify the presidential results announced recently by IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati.

Professor Githu however dismissed the submission saying the team did not provide evidence to support the claims, thereby asking the seven-judge bench to dismiss the case before them.

He was appearing for IEBC, Chairman Wafula Chebukati, Commissioner Prof Abdi Guliye, and Commissioner Molu Boya in the petition.
