DP RUTO CANDID MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF KIRINYAGA

Deputy President William Ruto has urged political leaders to hold peaceful campaigns even as they drum up for support for their political bids ahead of the 2022 polls.

Speaking in Kianyaga, Kirinyaga county on Sunday, Ruto expressed the need for peace to avoid divisions and violence associated with polls.

“Please fellow leaders I want to respectfully ask you sisi wote tuwe ni watu wa amani, na tukatae vita, sisi ni watu wa amani,” said the DP at the UDA campaign.

He further promised a free and fair electoral process come next year insisting that the voters will play a key role in determining the future leadership of the nation.

“Nyinyi wananchi ndio mtuamua nani anapata tikiti gani. Tutakuwa na free fair verifiable nominations. Sisi wote ni waombaji.

Fellow leaders nawaomba tukeep Amani tukatae fujo na mawe. Nyinyi wananchi hamwezi shindwa kuamua ni nani mnataka,” said Ruto.

His allies danced to the same tune urging the residents of Kianyaga to overwhelmingly cast their votes for  DP Ruto as he seeks to succeed his boss.

“Wananchi ndio wataamua. Hatutaki fujo na matusi. Tuko nyuma ya Ruto. Tuko na Imani na William Ruto. Serikali ya 2022 ni ya Ruto. Tuko na Imani tutapata free and fair nominations,” said Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru

Ruto was accompanied by Woman representative Purity Wangui Ngirichi, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion amongst other leaders.
