MT KENYA POLLS ON PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES

Mount Kenya have been at the epicenter of Kenyan politics for a very long time following its vast muscular strength in terms of its large number of registered voters from the region.

The two main presidential aspirants have been for a long time been camping on the Mount Kenya regions trying to woo the electorates from the larger Mount Kenya region with their different campaign manifestos.

The two main presidential coalitions include, The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition which is being led by the former prime minister and the party leader of Orange Democratic Movement ( ODM) Raila Amollo Odinga, while the second presidential coalition is the Kenya Kwanza Coalition which is led by the Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto.

An Opinion poll was conducted to determine the most preferred presidential candidate with Mount Kenya Region.

According to the poll results, the deputy President is still the one with the majority followers from Mount Kenya With a total of 58%, while Raila Odinga followed with a total percentage of about 30%
