However, it’s customers will be relieved in the cost rate of calling following the new development by Communication Authority of Kenya.
However, the sector regulator that’s communication authority of Kenya cuts the call rate charged from the current 0.99 to 0.12 charged per minute.
Details ascertains that Safaricom had filed a petition to communication and multimedia tribunal in appealing the move by communication authority of Kenya.
Additionally, communication authority of Kenya has said, it will consider reviewing the call rates by doing more detailed study on network network cost as reported by business Daily.
The move of reduction in the cost of call rate will relief it’s customers as they will be making calls at the Lower rate.
However, the regulatory body aims at creating conducive competition among telecommunication companies in the country.
The move aims at making other small telecommunication companies to operate favourably in the market.
