ANOTHER POWERFUL CS IS DEAD

In the recent past few days, East Africa was hit by sorrowful news when reports emerged of a sudden death of Ugandan Minister, Charles Okello Engola.

The powerful Minister who was serving in the Cabinet of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was shot dead by his own bodyguard.

As this sombre mood was still engulfing Uganda and East Africa at large, another powerful political figure as again passed on this Friday.

Former Tanzanian Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation Minister, Hon Bernard Membe, has equally passed on. Membe served as a Minister in the Cabinet of former Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete between 2007 and 2015.

The passing on of Membe is indeed a devastating blow to Eastern Africa as it has come at a time when Sudan is facing political crisis so does their neighbors, Kenya.

The deaprted leader was among the key pillars who vehemently pushed for the unity of the region under the umbrella of East African Community. Rest in peace Mheshimiwa.
