WHY PRESIDENT RUTO IS NOT SLEEPING AT STATE HOUSES DESPITE MOVING IN

Despite holding a late night luncheon and holding a meeting with key Kenya Kwanza principals until midnight at Statehouse on Tuesday night, president William Ruto did not spent the night at the government owned facility.

Yesterday, Ruto reported to Statehouse at 6:50 am from his Karen residence where he had spent the night.

Ealier on Monday evening, former president Uhuru Kenyatta had taken Ruto on a Statehouse tour and many assumed that the president had already moved in. Well it is not the case.

According to Statehouse handlers who spoke to People Daily, Ruto has not fully moved into Statehouse because it is still being refurbished to capture his family’s preferences after Uhuru vacated.

However, it is expected that Ruto and family will fully move into Statehouse as soon as the ongoing refurbishments have been finished.

After he moves out of his Karen residence, the new Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is expected to move.

The palatial home was built by former president Mwai Kibaki’s government at a cost not exceeding five hundred million taxpayers money.
