TEARGAS, CHAOS AT DP RUTO’S EMBAKASI RALLY.

Chaos erupted on Sunday, January 16, during Deputy President William Ruto’s Rally at the Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East.

Videos seen by K24 showed a section of the crowd engaged in running battles forcing police officers to lob teargas to disperse a rowdy crowd.

This was after a group of rowdy youth attempted to interrupt the rally chanting that they wanted to be addressed by area member of Parliament, Babu Owino.

“We do not want money, we want Babu. We do not want money, we want baba (Raila Odinga),” the youth chanted.

While addressing the crowd, Ruto blamed Raila for the pandemonium witnessed during the rally

“Mr Kitendawili shame on you for organizing these young men to pelt stones yet you are enjoying yourself,” the DP claimed.
