SPEAKER KINGI DECLARES SEVERAL SENATORS’ SEATS VACANT.

The speaker of the senate Amason Kingi has sent messages to Several Senators who are boycotting senate sittings.

According to Kingi, most of the Senators in Azimio have boycotted Sittings and some are only waiting for one sitting to lose seats.

The speaker is clear that the business of committee and the house cannot be crippled by few individuals.

Most of the Senators who have boycotted sittings are those allied to the Azimio leader Raila Odinga and instead they have chosen to be on the streets. It’s clear that some Senators have resulted to taking petitions to the office of the. President as opposed to prosecuting their issues in Parliament.

President Ruto has remained clear that his government will not entertain any Senator who wants to misuse their privileges. It’s clear to Kingi that most of the Senators are going to lose personal benefits including allowances.

It’s interesting that some leaders are elected in the Senate but instead of prosecuting their issues in Parliament, they are busy in demonstrations. Whether this issues will be discussed objectively so that Senators do not lose seats, let’s wait and see.
