SENIOR GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL KILLED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has confirmed the identity of a man whose vehicle was sprayed with bullets along the Meru-Nanyuki Road.In a statement, KWS revealed that the man who was killed in the incident is the Nyeri company commander at KWS Aberdare, Bajila Kofa.

KWS stated that Kofa was heading home after he had taken his children to school before he was ambushed and executed outside the Meru National Polytechnic.

According to reports, Kofa suffered multiple gunshot wounds after his vehicle was sprayed with more than 30 bullets.

Witnesses who saw his body after the attack confirmed that he had a severe injury to the forehead, where one of the bullets hit him.

Kofa was shot and killed on Tuesday afternoon, August 31, by unknown assailants outside the Meru National Polytechnic.

The car he was driving was sprayed with bullets by attackers in other vehicles who were overtaking him.

Imenti police had initially suspected that the man was a criminal on their watchlist, but KWS set the record straight with their statement.

Imenti North police boss, Alexander Makau had initially claimed that the victim may have been executed by his rivals.

Makau even told reporters that police seized a gun and a magazine with bullets from the victim’s car.
