SENATOR CHARGED WITH RAPING 36 YEAR OLD WOMAN

Appearing at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday, Linturi was charged that on January 30, 2021 he attempted to rape a 36-year-old woman at Maiyan Villas Hotel in Nanyuki at around 3am.

He further faced a second charge of committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to section 11(A) of the Sexual Offences Act.

He pleaded not guilty to both counts before Magistrate Nanzushi and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.200,000.

The case will be mentioned on October 26.
