RAILA OFFICIALLY GIVEN AN OFFICE.

The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is expected to finally have an official office as the leader of Opposition following the recent move by the Public Petitions Committee (PPC) on May 3.

In a statement, as confirmed by Citizen Digital, the committee has now put int consideration the amendment of the Constitution of Kenya in order to creat the office of the official opposition leader.

By doing so, Raila Odinga who’s currently the opposition chief will be subject to receive a salary (payable by the tax payers) and other perks just like other public servants.

Raila will also attend official meetings and serve the interests of Kenyans by keeping the government on check.

This comes after weeks of Raila’s firm stance that he’s not interested to have a government position nor the aforesaid office.

Raila has since maintained that he’s only focused on spearheading the grievances of Kenyans with respect to the cost of living and fulfillment of President Ruto’s promises.
