MIGUNA MIGUNA CHASED AWAY IN NYANZA

A viral video has emerged in the internet showing a large group of people chasing a vehicle that was carrying controversial politician, Miguna Miguna.

According to sources, the video is said to have been shot at Kasipul, where Miguna had attended the burial ceremonies of Elly Odhiambo and Mrs Emmaculate Onyango, who are spouses.

After the service a group of youth escorted Miguna from the service and started shouting at him calling him a traitor.

The angry mourners went ahead and started throwing chants at Miguna using the local dialect. They were asking him to leave the place accusing him of disrespecting the ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

“Go and leave us alone. This is Baba’s bedroom. We can’t allow you to continue disrespecting Raila Odinga,” chanted the youth in Luo as they escorted Miguna’s vehicle.

This is not the first time that a politician is facing resistance from their backyard. This mainly happens when a politician defies the direction taken by the people on the ground.

Miguna is one of the Nyanza politicians who have openly defied to follow the leadership of the former prime minister, Raila Odinga. Despite having served as the personal assistant to Odinga when he was serving as prime minister, the lawyer is on record saying that he voted for William Ruto in the 2022 election.
