David Onyancha, who is the Personal Assistant to Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i’s on Saturday, September 11, visited the home of a woman who was captured on camera being whisked away from the CS.

Christine Nyakundi, was on Tuesday, September 7, breached Dr Matiang’i’s security as she tried to reach out to the CS who was boarding a chopper from Nyamira County to Nairobi.

The incident attracted different reactions from Kenyans who condemned or supported the move as per to their understanding of what had happened.

K24 Digital has established that Matiang’i’s PA Onyancha paid a visit to the home of the woman in Kenyerere, Bobasi in Kisii County.

The main aim of the visit, was to have word with Nyakundi after she raised serious security issues days after she was manhandled by the police.

The PA also promised to ensure that the family of Nyakundi who is a mother of two gets the support it requires.

Nyakundi appreciated the move saying that she was greatful that finally the CS had sent someone to give her ears.

“I really appreciate the move by the CS and I will now take my time to discuss more issues with him,” she said.

In an earlier interview just a day after she was whisked away and denied chance to speak to the CS, Nyakundi said that she wanted to inform Matiang’i on insecurity that has marred Bobasi and Nyaribari Chache sub-counties.

“We have serious security concerns in the two constituencies and that is the message I wanted to give the CS. However, the police officers did not give me time to speak to him,” she told a local media station in the interview.

She also claimed that police officers were working in cahoots with criminals to cause mayhem in the two sub-counties.

A section of Kenyans accused the lady of pulling the stunt in order to get money from the CS a claim, Nyakundi dismissed saying Matiang’i knew her so well.
