A new report compiled by County Gala Awards(CGA) in its 2021 report has revealed how different leaders performed in the last year.
The report, compiled after a detailed survey conducted between January 1 and February 30, 2021, was released in June and reveals results of county performance in different categories.
The report ranked governor Alfred Mutua as the best Governor in the country owing to his excellent implementation of successful projects in his county, with Nyeri county’s Caroline Karugu named the best deputy governor.
The award for the best performing Member of Parliament went to Rarienda MP, Otiende Omollo, while the best performing MCA was taken by Abdi Guyo, MCA for Matopeni Ward.

Makueni County’s Senator, Mutula Kilonzo Junior was named the best senator in the 2021 County Gala Awards.
The senator, celebrating his achievements, took to Facebook on Saturday, July 31, to celebrate the achievement coveted by many.
“Goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall in the house of the Lord forever,” wrote Kilonzo on his official Facebook page.
Governor Lee Kinyanjui’s Nakuru County emerged top in performance as it was named the best performing county in the country.
Sabina Chege, Woman Rep for Murang’a county emerged as the best performing woman representative.
Principal Secretary (PS) for State Department of Interior and Citizen Services in the Ministry of Interior emerged as the best performing PS.
Mercy Mwangangi, the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Health’s was ranked first in the CAS department due to her emerging influence in the fight against Covid-19. Amina Mohammed, Cabinet Secretary (CS) for the Ministry of Sports, Heritage, and Culture, was named the best CS in the country.
