GACHAGUA BEGS UHURU KENYATTA

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has cleared the air on the speculated friction between him and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The second-in-command stated that he has no ill will toward the former president, clarifying that the alleged animosity was “all politics” and nothing personal.

DP Gachagua also stated that he has a strong friendship with Mr. Kenyatta and that after the political dust settles, they will meet for a cup of tea to catch up on the “good old days.”

“We have no problem with the outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta, we wish him well in retirement and infact myself, he has been my buddy for 20 years, when things settle down I will look for him,” he said while speaking with KTN on Sunday.

“This was all politics, there was nothing personal. He wanted this way and I wanted another, I have won he has lost and we move on. And I will look for him we have a cup of tea, we have a chat and catchup on the good old days.”

DP Gachagua has lashed out at Uhuru in recent public addresses, including his inauguration speech on September 13, blaming him for the nation’s “dilapidated” state.

He however clarified that his speech was motivated by the need to tell Kenyans the truth rather than a personal vendetta against Uhuru.
