FINALLY AZIMIO AND KENYA KWANZA AGREES.

President William Ruto and his allies have agreed not to allow the opposition into their government.

According to them, the opposition is demonstrating so that they can have a slot the Kenya Kwanza government.

Instead President Ruto is keen to ensure the opposition has the official office of the opposition.

Today the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza in the National Assembly have supported call to amend to the Constitution to create offices of Prime Minister and Official Opposition. The main obstacle is how to create these offices because they are not in the constitution.

Leader of Majority Kimani Ichungw’a and Leader of Minority Opiyo Wandayi insisted that the matter must be subjected to a referendum while Inchung’wa said that the offices could be created through a parliamentary process.“…

You will be creating a new structure. You can amend anything in the Constitution but take it to the people…” he said. He further said that the Azimio will vote Yes it will put in a referendum.

“… the petitioner seeks to enhance inclusiveness and promote unity in the country by providing for greater representation of different regions and communities in the country.” said Ichung’wa.
