4 KENYAN POLITICIANS DIES IN A PLANE CRASH

Many Kenyan leaders have lost their dear lives through plane crashes.The following are prominent Kenyan leaders whom their dear live s were brought to an abrupt end due plane accidents;.

1.George Saitoti

Eight years ago, the country was shaken and thrown into mourning. Kenya’s minister for internal security George Saitoti, his deputy and four others were killed in a helicopter crash outside Nairobi.. Saitoti was expected to run for president in next year’s election.

Lorna Laboso

She was killed along with Minister of Roads Kipkalya Kones in a plane crash on June 10, 2008.The plane crashed into a building in Kajong’a market near Nairagie Enkare in Enoosupukia, Narok District,near Narokand the Masai Mara game reserve.The plane carrying Laboso and Kones, a Cessna light aircraft, had taken off from Wilson Airport in Nairobi. 

Orwa Ojode

Joshua Orwa Ojode, a former assistant minister for internal security, was a passenger on the police chopper that crashed on June 10, 2012, killing all six people inside, including his boss George Saitoti. At the time of his passing, Ojode was a businessman and a member of parliament. After conducting an investigation into the crash under the direction of a panel presided over by Lady Justice Kalpana Rawal, the panel came to the conclusion that inadequate visibility was probably to blame.

4.Mohamed khalif- Busia.

Ahmed Mohamed Khalif, 53, was the Labour Minister, died after the 24-seater jet went down seconds into take-off at Busia, 210 miles west of Nairobi. Witnesses said the plane struck a pothole on the runway, knocked into a pylon as it struggled to gain altitude and then dived into a house. Both pilots were killed and three ministers were seriously injured, said Christopher Murungaru, the Security Minister. Peter Kimanthi, the local police chief, described the plane as “a complete wreck.

There are many other leaders who have died in various accidents but these are the few who preished and shocked the whole nation into mourning.
